Suunto Movescount is truly community powered. Personal best trends, peer group comparisons, community training insights and peer-to-peer coaching platform are available for all Suunto Movescount users. All these new community powered tools will be available in October.
Suunto Movescount analyzes all your Moves and keeps you up-to-date on your personal bests in different sports. See how fast you are in 5 km, 10 km or on a half marathon, or how high your 20 min or one hour cycling power is.
Personal bests are monitored from various sports including cycling, mountain biking, running, trail running, treadmill running, swimming, open-water swimming and triathlon. In trail running and mountain biking, for example, see your personal best in ascending 100 meters, 500 meters or 5 km. In swimming follow your fastest time in different distances like 800 meters or 1500 meters. You can also look at your progress with these same metrics in Suunto Movescount.
Easily compare your personal bests with those of your age group (e.g. men 35-40, women 20-25) to find out how well you rank. Do you belong in the fastest 20 % on a 5 km run? How much faster would you need to be to land in the fastest 10 %?
Compare your annual and all-time personal bests with those of your peer group to see how good you are. For example, you can compare your open water swimming 1900 m personal best to see if you rank in the top 20% of your peer group, and how much faster you need to be to reach the top 10%. This gives you also unique insight if you are suited for long distances or better equipped for short intensive races.
Based on an analysis of millions of Moves recorded, Suunto Movescount provides real facts on what type of training others have done to reach their goals. You can compare your own performance to those training towards a similar target, and see how they are preparing.
Without even logging in to Suunto Movescount, you can browse a list of most popular sports – cycling, mountain biking, running, trail running, pool swimming, open-water swimming and triathlon – select a metric for that sport (such as a half marathon, sprint distance triathlon or a 10 km bike ride) and the goal such as sub 4-hour marathon or 10 km bike ride under 15 minutes.
As a result, you will see how others have trained 15 weeks prior to their goal. See for example, how many hours per week they have trained, which sports they have done, their total training durations and the spread of their training intensities towards their achievement.
On Suunto Movescount, easily check in which time for example people having run a marathon sub-4 hours run a half marathon or 10 km, or 500 meter swimming time for people having swum 2 kilometers in 25 minutes.
Compare with your own personal best in the same distances to gain insight on which marathon or 2 km swimming time you could achieve, and whether you should rather focus on your long term endurance or speedwork to improve.
