The Suunto Essential Collection grows with five new models
Suunto today unveils the Essential Ceramic line-up, its first application of ceramics with five new models for the Suunto Essential Collection. From the time it was founded 80 years ago, Suunto has been pioneering innovations for adventurers, from compasses and precision instruments to dive computers and advanced outdoor and GPS sports watches. For Suunto, design and quality have always played a central role. With the new Essential Ceramic models, Suunto adds ceramics to their palette of premium materials.
The award winning Suunto designer Timo Yliluoma explains the material choice and design philosophy behind the new Essential Ceramic watches:
“Ceramics is a timeless material with a great history spanning thousands of years. The elegantly designed Suunto Essential Ceramic watches, crafted from ceramics, sapphire crystal glass and stainless steel, speak the essence of Suunto: sophisticated aesthetics built to withstand the toughest conditions. All Essential watches come with an altimeter, barometer and a compass – essential tools for exploration.
The Ceramic Copper watch combines a beautiful copper colored ceramic bezel and stainless steel case with a gentle, white leather strap. The Ceramic Copper Black and Ceramic All Black combine the ceramic bezel with a matte black stainless steel case. Both come with a stylish black leather strap. Additionally, the Ceramic Copper Black and Ceramic All Black are available with a premium textile strap, giving the watches a contemporary, urban look.
Each Essential watch comes with exclusive textile carrying pouch and a quality certificate signed at the Finnish factory guaranteeing the highest standards every time. The new Essential Ceramic watches are available globally from March 8th, 2016.
