SUUNTO SISU CHALLENGE

Over 22,000 runners took part in the Suunto Sisu challenge, which ended at the end of May. Inspired by the Finnish word for bravery and determination, aspiring challengers had to run 65 km (40 miles) in two weeks. Exactly 22,006 runners took part, clocking up a total of 1,192,401 kilometers – equivalent to almost three times around the world! The successful Strava members who completed the challenge now have the opportunity to buy a Suunto Ambit2 R, and receive a free Suunto heart rate belt.”

A NEW WAY TO UNDERSTAND MUSCLE PERFORMANCE

Finnish sports technology company Myontec has created a way to measure the electrical activity of the muscles. Their Mbody products give you a new dimension on analyzing your performance. The information is available in real time during training and can be analyzed in more detail in Movescount.

Learn more about Mbody on our sport pages.

App of the month

GET AERODYNAMIC WITH THE CYCLING AERODYNAMICS APP

To be competitive in time-trials, cycle races and triathlon, it's vital to reduce your aerodyamic drag, with a good position and good equipment. This App shows aerodynamic drag or CdA in realtime. CdA indicates the value of a frontal area and is typically measured in metres squared. An average cyclist presents a frontal area of 0.3 to 0.6 metres squared depending on the position. See how you can improve yours with this app.
