Suunto Athletes Duel for the 2010 World Title at the ITU World Championships Series

The finals held in Budapest on 8-12th September

With just one race left until the crowning of the 2010 ITU World Champion, Suunto athletes Jan Frodeno (GER) and Javier Gomez (ESP) are in a duel for the title. Frodeno is currently ranked first in the Series standings, 231 points ahead of second-place Gomez. With 1200 points available to the winner of the Budapest Grand Final, that means the World Championship is up for grabs!

Javier Gomez and Jan FrodenoThe final race of the Dextro Energy Triathlon ITU World Championship Series - the Budapest Grand Final will be held on September 8-12. With all of the world's top contenders in attendance, expect the Grand Final to be the most exciting event of the season, however offering a serie for every type of triathlete – from the novice to the elite.

While both Frodeno and Gomez are supported by and train with Suunto heart rate monitors, they have different styles of triathlon racing – Frodeno’s fast finishing sprint has helped him to victory on numerous occasions, while Gomez prefers to distance his rivals much earlier on the run sections.
