The software update 2.5.168 brings enhancements to the battery charging functionality only in Suunto EON Steel computers, which have been upgraded with the Bühlmann 16 GF dive algorithm.

Updated dive algorithm

The decompression algorithm Suunto Fused™ RGBM 2, is now available for Suunto EON Steel. The Suunto Fused™ RGBM 2 combines and improves widely respected Suunto RGBM (Reduced Gradient Bubble Model) and Suunto Fused™ RGBM decompression models developed by Suunto together with Dr. Bruce Wienke. The Suunto Fused™ RGBM 2 has been developed to give divers various diving opportunities and especially support deep air dives by giving better optimized total dive time.

Suunto Fused™ RGBM 2 highlights:

• Optimized ascent times on deep air decompression dives
• Enhanced dive times for repetitive dives
• For decompression diving there is an option to select between a stepped ascent profile (3 meter / 10 feet steps stops) or continuous ascent profile
• Further developed no-fly time calculation
• 3-meter safety stop after long decompression stops removed
• EON Steel with Fused™ RGBM 2 supports open-circuit and closed-circuit diving.

• In Suunto app you can relive, and share your diving adventures, build an all-inclusive dive history by enriching your dive logs with photos, comments and dive location. Review and analyze all your dive data including dive time, maximum depth, device settings, gas consumption (when using Suunto Tank POD).
• The Suunto community is a vibrant and diverse group, sharing inspiring stories and experiences every day. Social sharing on Suunto app is personal - select what you want to share and to whom.
• Suunto app can also track your other sports and daily activity with a compatible Suunto sports watch.

Logbook improvement

• New features have been added to the dive log viewer in the dive computer to enhance usability and enrich the available dive info.
• The improved and enriched summary page will help you analyze your dive by showing average depth of dive, CNS and OTU levels as well as your personal dive settings.
• If using Suunto Tank POD you can also follow the development of your gas consumption and SAC rate.

New easy way to keep your dive computer up to date

• Software updates will hereby be available via SuuntoLink. SuuntoLink is a desktop software available for OS and Windows that keeps your device software up to date.
• The latest software will also be available to download in DM5.

Added language

• Suunto EON Steel is now also available in traditional Chinese.

Maintenance improvements

• This release also includes enhancements to improve device performance and usability.

This release content is free of charge and available in SuuntoLink and DM5.

Optional additional dive algorithm

Suunto EON Steel can now be upgraded to include the Bühlmann 16 with Gradient Factors alternative dive algorithm for a cost suggested retail price of 80€. After the upgrade, you will have the possibility of changing the 2 existing dive algorithms on your device: Suunto Fused™ RGBM 2 and the Bühlmann 16 GF. You can easily navigate between the two dive algorithms before or after the dive.

The Bühlmann 16 GF software update includes:

• Gradient factors low (10-100) and high (50-100) to adjust level of conservatism.
• Continuous and stepped ascend profile for Bühlmann 16 GF
• No algorithm lock functionality for Bühlmann 16 GF
• Possibility to reset tissue compartments in both dive algorithms (Suunto Fused™ RGBM 2 and Bühlmann 16 GF)
• Classical layout as default
• Current time added as default value to dive view

The Bühlmann Software upgrade for Suunto EON Steel is available via Online Service Request (OSR) or by contacting your local dealer.

La mise à jour logicielle 1.6.4 apporte de nouvelles fonctionnalités pour le Suunto EON Steel

Nouveau mode d’affichage dominant

En plus des modes graphique et classique, vous pouvez désormais sélectionner le nouveau mode d'affichage dominant. Le style dominant affiche les paramètres de plongée les plus importants sous forme de chiffres larges et lisibles. La profondeur et le temps de plongée sont clairement affichés sur le côté gauche de l'écran, tandis que les informations affichées à droite sont personnalisables. Vous pouvez par exemple choisir si vous souhaitez afficher la pression des bouteilles, la boussole, le temps sans décompression ou l’heure lors d’une plongée.

Prise en charge de trois nouvelles langues

Le Suunto EON Steel comporte désormais 17 langues, avec trois nouveaux ajouts : le tchèque, le danois et le japonais.

La mise à jour logicielle inclut également des correctifs de bugs et des améliorations.

Le Suunto EON Steel affiche de nouvelles caractéristiques et améliorations

Prise en charge de 14 langues

Suunto EON Steel est désormais disponible en 14 langues. En plus de l’anglais, vous pouvez maintenant l’utiliser en chinois simplifié, néerlandais, finnois, français, allemand, italien, coréen, norvégien (bokmål), polonais, portugais, russe, espagnol et suédois.

Connectivité mobile avec Suunto Movescount

Le Suunto EON Steel se connecte à l'application Suunto Movescount App (disponible sur iOS et Android) sans fil. Transférez les journaux de plongée de votre Suunto EON Steel vers Suunto Movescount en utilisant la connexion Bluetooth et l'application. Dans Suunto Movescount, vous pouvez rassembler et partager vos aventures de plongée, créer un historique de plongée global, ainsi qu'enrichir vos journaux de plongée d'anecdotes et de photos. Vous pouvez également modifier les paramètres de votre EON directement depuis l'application.

Modification des mélanges en cours de plongée

En cas d'urgence, les plongeurs utilisant plusieurs mélanges gazeux peuvent désormais modifier les gaz en cours de plongée. Vous pourrez ainsi poursuivre votre plongée et obtenir des informations de décompression à jour sur votre ordinateur en fonction des modifications effectuées.

Amélioration de l'autonomie de la batterie lorsque l'appareil n'est pas utilisé

La Veille profonde est une fonction qui permet de prolonger l'autonomie de la batterie en cas de non-utilisation du Suunto EON Steel pendant deux jours. Vous pouvez également régler le délai de mise en veille (de 1 à 5 minutes) au bout duquel l'écran s'éteindra automatiquement.

Amélioration de la personnalisation

Vous pouvez désormais choisir d'afficher davantage de données sous la même vue, tout en maintenant une lisibilité satisfaisante. Avec les paires de champs personnalisées, il devient plus facile de parcourir ces valeurs. Les paires de champs sont plus simples à organiser sur l'écran et vous permettent d'afficher uniquement les informations dont vous aurez besoin lors de votre plongée.

Amélioration du journal de plongée

Vous pouvez désormais parcourir les journaux de plongée par profondeur maximale et temps de plongée (en plus de la date/heure).

Indicateur de verrouillage de l'algorithme

L'algorithme Suunto Fused™ RGBM se verrouille pendant 48 heures lorsque vous omettez des paliers de décompression pendant plus de trois (3) minutes. Dans ces situations, « VERROUILLÉ » s'affiche à l'écran au lieu d’« ERREUR ».
