Suunto launches Suunto DM4 with Movescount for Mac

10/27/2011

Suunto, the world’s leading designer and manufacturer of dive computers, announces the release of the Mac-compatible version of its dive manager software, Suunto DM4 with Movescount.

Suunto DM4 with Movescount

Review dive logs on a Mac and share dive Moves online

The new Suunto DM4 for Mac software is compatible with all Suunto dive computers. It allows divers to download and maintain dive logs, plan dives, and is fully integrated with Movescount.com, Suunto’s free online sports diary. In the last five months, since the launch of the first Movescount-compatible dive computers, Movescount.com has grown to be one of the world’s leading dive sites, with over 100,000 dives already uploaded.

“This release is a big milestone for our Mac-using customers, and it delivers what they have been demanding – Mac-compatible dive management software for their Suunto products. A significant portion of both scuba and free divers are avid Mac users, and we’re extremely happy that we can now provide them with a user-friendly tool for logging and analyzing their dives.” says Pia Talja, Product Manager at Suunto. “The Mac version of DM4 with Movescount provides users with clear graphics and is very easy to use. It includes tissue saturation graphs and a dedicated dive info view, as well as enhanced gas mixture views. DM4 is now also capable of making real gas volume calculations. We’re continuously developing both the Mac and PC versions of the software, and will be offering even more functionality and improvements in future releases.”

The seamless compatibility with Movescount.com allows divers to share dive Moves with friends and family, check out new dive sites and cool dives, and connect with divers from all over the world. DM4 with Movescount for Mac can be downloaded for free from here.
