Tags are a multifunctional way to improve your Movescount experience. They not only make finding certain activities easier but also enable creating your own custom summaries. Here are five useful ways to get started with tagging.

LOCATION

How many times have I been on a certain mountain? When was the last time I was riding a certain route? Just tag the move with a location name or a name of a route and you will easily find all moves with that tag.

EVENTS

Have you been on a training camp and would like to see a summary? Do you compete in a race series and would like to easily find all the events? Just tag your moves with words like "Mallorca2015" or "XTERRAseries".

SPECIFIC EXERCISE

Want to compare certain workouts, certain types of training or tests? Just create custom tags for each of them and find and analyze them later.

GEAR TRACKING

How much have you run with your favorite pair of shoes? When was your mountain bike’s suspension last serviced? Tag the variables to your moves and you can easily track when it is time to do some maintenance work.

CUSTOM ACTIVITIES

Don't see your sport on Movescount’s list of activities? Save your move as a “Not specified sport” and add the sport as a tag. Now you can follow your slacklining, aqua jogging or paragliding adventures. In the same way you can define whether you were mountain biking on your fatbike or your single-speed.

HOW TO USE MOVESCOUNT TAGS

STEP 1: ADD YOUR TAGS

Find your move on Movescount and add the tags in the tags field below the move’s header.

STEP 2: FIND YOUR TAGS

You can find the tags you have used on Movescount’s Summary page (My moves – Summary). By default the summary page will show the moves in a calendar view. The tag cloud view can be accessed by clicking the cloud symbol on the top right corner of the calendar. (A list view of the moves is also available.)

STEP 3: USE THE SUMMARY

Click on a tag name to see a summary of the tagged moves. In the summary you can use all the same features as on the regular summary page.

You can also use an activity filter when creating your tag summaries. A good example is a training camp: You may want to analyze your running at your triathlon camp this winter. Just choose the tag for your camp and filter only the running moves for the summary. Your swims and rides at the camp will be left out.
