Tips & Tricks

Tip: true north vs. magnetic north

Maps show true north, while compasses, point to magnetic north. As magnetic north and true north are not at the same location, it's important to know which is which before setting out on your next journey. Calibrating the compass on your Suunto wristop computer makes it easy to stay on track.

Learn how to calibrate your compass and get more instructional tips in our videos section
