Top Finnish nordic skiers assist Suunto in product development
Suunto and the Finnish Ski Association announce their long-standing co-operation. The features of the top-model Suunto t6, such as the heart rate variation analysis, have been tailor-made for the skiing team and other elite athletes.

Florence Marathon
For the second year Suunto will be the official supplier and timer at the glamorous Florence marathon. This year the famous run, which is one of the world’s top 20, takes place on Sunday, 25 November. Entry is open until 15 November 2007.

Romanian champion Oprea Diana Raluca
An athlete since she was four years old, Oprea Diana Raluca’s mission is to spread the message of sports and fitness to her fellow Romanians. Since 2001 Diana has represented her country in international fitness contests organized by IFF (International Fitness Federation), and in 2006 she was named the World Champion in Female Fitness—a dream come true.

Jonathan Wyatt wins the Jungfrau Marathon 2007
New Zealander Jonathan Wyatt conquered what’s referred to as the most beautiful marathon race course in the world—the spectacular Jungfrau in the heart of the Swiss Alps. After 10 pleasant kilometers in the beginning, the course changes dramatically in the second half, and the ascents are brutal. But Wyatt seemingly defeated gravity with his 2:55.32.1 time and came away with the winning spot.

Suunto partners with HOPSports for high tech physical education
Children in American schools, youth centers, and community recreation programs are getting fit using a unique multimedia physical training system called HOPSports. The Suunto Team Monitor package is used to monitor and record dozens of participants’ heart rates simultaneously, giving the kids extra motivation and insight into the effectiveness of their training.
