US hockey coaches use Suunto Team Solution

Suunto has given Pittsburgh Penguins' Strength and Conditioning Coach, Mike Kadar, new insight into the physiological demands set by the game. The Suunto Team POD allows Kadar to monitor the heart-rates of his players anywhere on the ice and the best part is he doesn't even have to put on his skates.

Suunto to be official timekeeper at the 2000 BG Triathlon World Championships

In June 2008 the world’s best triathletes will take part in the World Championships in Vancouver, Canada, and Suunto will be on hand to make sure their performances are measured to the millisecond. “ITU is proud to partner with a technology supplier that guarantees the highest level of timing services for our most prestigious event,” said ITU Executive Director, Loreen Barnett.

The fastest woman in the Cohutta 100 mile race

The recent Cohutta 100 mile mountain biking race in Tennessee was Suunto Ambassador Pua Sawicki’s first long distance race. Not only was she the first woman across the finish line, but she beat the other female competitors by an hour!

World champion triathlete Andy Potts becomes a Suunto Ambassador

The latest athlete to join the fold of Suunto Ambassadors is the talented Andy Potts. Despite only starting his professional career in 2003, Andy competed at the Athens Olympics and is now firmly focused on making it to Beijing.

Ride for a Reason – raising money for a good cause

Suunto helped to raise over US $64 million for Special Olympics Vermont, an organization which provides year-round sports training for children and adults with intellectual disabilities. This year’s Ride for a Reason participants pedaled for six hours in the indoor spinning marathon, their heart rates monitored closely by the Suunto Team POD – an innovative device that lets coaches monitor up to 42 athletes at a time.
