Sports Tracker joins the Amer Sports Digital Services family to help accelerate the group’s digital capabilities

We’re excited to share today’s news of Amer Sports acquiring Sports Tracker.

Finland based Sports Tracker is an award-winning digital sports application and online service with 2 million active users in more than 200 countries wordwide. Their main products are mobile apps for Android, iOS and Windows that represent the top end of digital sports apps.

Movescount is Suunto’s online sports community and digital sports service connected with several of Suunto’s products such as the Ambit GPS watches.

Joining forces with the Sports Tracker team will enable us at Suunto and the Movescount team to accelerate our digital services development and strengthen our ability to provide world-class digital sports services to meet the needs of our customers.

The acquisition will not have any immediate effect on the availability or operation of either of the digital services or applications: both Movescount and Sports Tracker services and apps will continue to be maintained and developed as planned. The community of both services can however expect to see new benefits emerge in the near future.

“At Suunto, we have a passion and desire to develop the best products and services for our customers. They expect us to deliver high quality, reliability and accuracy both in terms of physical products and services. This acquisition helps us to accelerate in developing the best tools for our customers so that they can get the most out of their adventures and pursue their passion for sports”, says Mikko Moilanen, president of Suunto.

We are glad to welcome the Sports Tracker team within the Suunto and Amer Sports family and look forward to working together in creation of excellent customer experiences for all of the Movescount or Sports Tracker communities.
