My name is Heikki Paasonen. I'm a 24-year-old Finnish TV presenter working currently in the Voice TV music channel. I've been hosting different TV and radio shows for six years now. Among other things I've hosted two Finnish Idols seasons and worked with the Eurovision song contest which we actually won 2006! Who would have thought!
I first got into diving on a trip to Thailand in February 2006 and got hooked immediately! Since then I've done my {PADI} OWD, AOWD and RD courses. Currently I'm finishing my Divemaster course as well. Despite my exciting job in the entertainment industry I've been seriously considering working in the diving industry as well. I'd love to live a year or two, for example, in Australia or in Indonesia and work in a diving school. Diving in Finland isn't that interesting in my opinion, and a few years abroad would probably do me good anyway!

So far my diving trips have taken place mainly in Asia. Last year I was in Koh Tao, Thailand. I also spent the whole June in Indonesia diving in a bunch of different islands. This Easter I headed to the southern Red Sea.
When diving, I use Suunto diving computers. My Suunto D9 has worked flawlessly and I've been able to enjoy my underwater diving adventures free of worries. Suunto diving computers have made my diving more fun and, most importantly, safer!

Heikki's Blog
Heikki chronicled his days on a live-aboard in the Red Sea as he worked on his Divemaster certification and scoped out some frighteningly large moray eels. Reading his blog (in English), is almost as good as being there!
In July 2007, Heikki made a "serious" dive trip to Malaysia and Philippines. He had some amazing dives there and he wanted to share them with us in his latest blog update.
