Tell us Jonathan, why are you using Suunto t6?
I am using Suunto t6 for every training session. It is the first time I have been able to analyse heart rate versus altitude and when I am running on the hills it tells me if I am training too hard, am too tired etc.
Using the computer software I can overlay charts from the same workout performed at different times to quickly gauge how my training is progressing and so I can make the necessary adjustments. I love the software because it is quick and easy to use. I can spend more time running rather than sitting in front of a computer! I can look at weekly mileage and make decisions about my training based on the information.
That is what technology should be about!
What is/are the biggest moments of your life?
Life should be full of great moments and everyday I am healthy, it's great! - of course some days are better than others! and among those I rate my times racing in the olympic games in Athens and Atlanta, being able to win a world title in mountain running in my home city of Wellington was another highlight - repaying some of the great support from thousands of people who came out to watch and who have helped my running career over many years.
What is your Suunto experience?
Being able to use the Suunto t6 as a computer to inform your training is the best thing for me.
The epoc once you trust it, really works in giving a good idea of when you are having a rest day and what it means to be training hard or sometimes too hard.
