Red Bull X-Alps 2009Suunto is the official partner of the Red Bull X-Alps and equips all athletes with Suunto Cores The Red Bull X-Alps is an unique 818 km adventure race that requires 30 participants from 23 different nations to paraglide or hike from Salzburg in Austria to Monaco via a series of turnpoints in Austria, Italy, Switzerland and France. The race starts at July 19th and goes on day and night until the first participant reaches the Mediterranean Sea in Monte Carlo.

Red Bull X-Alps 2009 completed
Just nine days, 23 hours and 54 minutes after leaving the centre of Salzburg, Austria, Swiss athlete Christian Maurer stood on a blue float off the coast of Monaco and lifted his arms in triumph.
