Users will be presented with new, clear information as well as with illustrative and graphic representation of the performance in its entirety; perfect for coaches, peers and own interest. In addition to performance-time data Suunto PC applications offer both pre- and post-performance features: preparatory functions and systematic documentation of all uploaded logs.
The first Suunto PC-software, Dive Log for DOS, was launched for Solution diving instruments in 1990. The idea of PC applications grew, and since 2000 Suunto Software Solutions has linked cross sports, sailing, golf, snow sports, and diving to the Suunto 3D chain.

Better Representation
The sport specific instrument is the basic tool, but examining the data on your PC reveals new information and gives you a graphic perspective of the entire performance. The instrument does the measuring, but it cannot represent the data as Suunto PC-software can. In the 3D model an extra dimension always adds another value - the user of the PC application has versatile possibilities for manipulating and analyzing recorded measurements. The numeric data sorted by user controlled factors, juxtaposed graphs, and illustrative representations add greatly to the user's benefits.
Real-Time vs. Later Analysis
While some readings are essential during the performance, there is data that one cannot keep track of in motion. Later analysis allows strategic planning; the data may be shared with a coach and others, and in addition, long-term documentation builds up.
Visual Planning

Please note the following if you have problems with your Suunto Training, Trek, Ski or Activity Manager software:
After updating the Windows XP with the security patch from Microsoft (released April 3, 2007) the Suunto Training, Trek, Ski and Activity Manager software will no longer run. Instead the following error message box appears: "The system DLL user32.dll was relocated in memory. The application will not run properly.
Microsoft has issued a "hotfix" for this, which can be downloaded from their knowledgebase article 935448.
