Davis Love III Promotes Suunto G6
|
A longtime fan of Suunto snowsport computers, Love became a champion of the Suunto G6 after testing a pre-release unit in January. Worn like a watch, the Suunto G6 monitors tempo, rhythm, backswing length and club head speed with each stroke, providing instant feedback that allows golfers to feel and repeat the perfect swing.

"The Suunto G6 is a professional tool that takes the guesswork out of improving your swing," said Love. "If your tempo is off by a few tenths of a second, or if your backswing is a few degrees too long, the Suunto G6 lets you know on the spot with total accuracy."

The son of respected golf teacher Davis Love II, Davis Love III perfected his enviable golf swing at an early age. Since his professional debut in 1985, Love has won more than 10 PGA events including the 1997 PGA Championship. Twenty years into his career, he remains one of the world's best golfers and currently ranks among the top ten on the PGA Money List.
Engineered for accuracy on par with professional launch monitors, the Suunto G6 contains three small sensors called "accelerometers." With each swing - from the moment of takeaway to contact - the accelerometers work in concert to record 200-plus measurements per second. Employing proprietary Suunto algorithms, the Suunto G6 then transposes these measurements into four distinct swing components: tempo, rhythm, backswing length and club head speed.
