Suunto Activity Manager (SAM) software offers an exciting new tool for viewing recorded data for all cross sports enthusiasts. Recreational hikers will enjoy creating their own trip reports combining profiles with photos and texts, while endurance athletes can further improve their performance by analyzing training data such as the relationship between altitude and heart rate.

SAM enables you to manage the files recorded with your Suunto X6 or Suunto X6HR. There are three different types of logs. Chrono logs which all include the altitude profile, weather logs which show the development of sea level barometric pressure and temperature in the last 48 hours before downloading and hiking logs which show the headline values of a hike with up to one week continuous recording.
Once transferred to your PC the log files are organized in folders that can be created at the click of a button. The logs can then be sorted by date, duration, altitude or many other parameters. You can move the logs between folders and, as the amount of data grows, use the search function to locate the information. You can visualize the log data more easily by creating graphs and adding photos.
With SAM you can upload your logs to the suuntosports.com site and compare your performance and experiences with other like-minded members of the cross sports community.

| Problems with Suunto Activity Manager |
After updating the Windows XP with the security patch from Microsoft (released April 3, 2007) the Suunto Activity Manager software will no longer run. Instead the following error message box appears:
"The system DLL user32.dll was relocated in memory. The application will not run properly.
The relocation occurred because the dll c:\windows\system32\hhctrl.ocx occupied an address range reserved for Windows System DLLs. The vendor supplying the DLL should be contacted for a new DLL."
"Hotfix" solution
Microsoft has issued a "hotfix" for this, which can be downloaded from their knowledgebase article 935448.

Please, remember to choose the same language for the installed fix as you have for your Windows, otherwise the installation will fail.
