This site and the contents of herein are provided as a convenience to you. The contents of Suunto.com pages provided on "as is" and "as available" basis. Suunto does not warrant that our pages will be uninterrupted or error-free. No warranty of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of title or non-infingement or implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, is made in relation to the availability, accuracy, reliability or content of these pages.

By submitting material to any of our servers (by e-mail or by any other way), you agree that: (i) the material will not contain any item that is unlawful or otherwise not fit for publication; (ii) you own the material or you have unlimited right to provide it to us and Suunto may publish the material free of charge or incorporate material or any feature described in it in Suunto products without accountability or liability; (iii) you agree not to take any action against Suunto in relation to the material; (iiii) you are ready to indemnify Suunto if any third party takes action against Suunto in relation to the material; and (iiiii) you will use reasonable efforts to remove any viruses or other destructive features before submitting the material.

Suunto does not and cannot review the content posted by you and other users on its site and cannot be responsible for such content. Suunto has right at any time at its discretion remove any content posted by users.



Privacy Policy

Purpose of collecting information

Suunto collects and uses your information to marketing and market understanding purposes. We may also use all this information to assess what Suunto products and services may be of interest to individuals and to personalize our services and marketing.

Personal information Suunto collects

Suunto collects and updates information about users of its services, suppliers, account and IT managers and other individuals it deals within its day-to-day business. It may obtain this information via direct contact with you, from third parties such as your employer or another one of our suppliers and automatically via your use of our services.

Collected information

If you are a registered user of Suunto site we may also gather information about your use of our services, such as generic types of data accessed, times and volume of use of the services and Traffic Data. Traffic Data includes logs, details of networks, data and systems accessed, details of the sender and recipients of messages sent over our services, times and location of log on or access, duration of sessions, ClickStream and similar usage of system data. Traffic Data may sometimes be traceable to/related to not just companies but named individuals.

Before you register with the site you may browse the site anonymously.

Storing information

Suunto may store your information in its databases for reference. The information may be retained and used by Suunto for a reasonable period, reflecting our need to answer queries or resolve problems, provide improved and new services and any data retention requirements of the law. This means that we may retain information after individual ceases to use Suunto services or after the individual has ceased interacting with Suunto.

Except where the law, authorities or regulatory bodies require us to retain it for longer, we retain Traffic Data for a reasonable period, after Traffic Data was generated, including in some circumstances after any bill has been paid. The details of money laundering checks, user authentication or verification checks and details of trading or other regulated activity may be retained for so long as the law or the regulator requires or evidence of the trade is required.

Transfers of information to third parties

Except where the law permits or unless you specifically agree Suunto does not transfer your personal data to others outside of Suunto.

In some instances, we may pass information to third parties involved in the relevant Suunto service (e.g. software providers) who wish to manage and check the distribution of their information and software. They may then match it with the data they have for this purpose. You will generally know if such a transfer of your personal data happens, except if the third parties are simply working on our behalf as our subcontractors, administrators or our professional advisers or if the data is required to be disclosed by law or to a public authority, in which case informing you may not be possible.

In case of business divesture where your personal data is used by the transferring business, your data may be transferred to a third party transferee along with the business.

Visitor identification

From time to time, information may be placed on your computer to allow Suunto to identify you. The information is commonly known as "cookies". The use of cookies is an industry standard and many web sites use them. Cookies are stored on your computer and not on this site.

Cookies enable Suunto to collect information about our web sites and services are being used and to manage them more efficiently. Until you have registered on Suunto site, the cookie will only track general usage patterns and technical information about your computer type and will not identify you individually. Advertising on Suunto site

Because Suunto business is global, personal data may be made available internationally, including in countries, which do not have data protection laws, or laws, which provide as much protection as in the country of origin. This way Suunto works to protect personal data transferred to countries which do not have data protection laws or whose laws are less strict.

Minors

In order to avoid any illegal circumstances no information may be submitted to Suunto by persons under the age of 18 without the consent of a parent or legal guardian, nor may persons under the age of 18 make purchases or other legal acts on Suunto.com without such consent, unless permitted by applicable legislation.

Suunto may change its Site Terms and/or Privacy Policy, or change, modify or withdraw access to this Site or the content of these pages at any time with or without notice.

Suunto

Suunto means Suunto Oy and its affiliates. Suunto is a wholly owned subsidiary of Amer Sports Corporation.

Where applicable, your local Suunto office is primarily responsible for managing the registration data. Where the local Suunto office is outside the EU, its representative in the European Union is Suunto Oy.
