How to use Suunto app and Suunto Movescount together?

In Spring 2018 we launched Suunto app as the future of our digital services, with the desire of providing a better user experience for the Suunto community as a whole. All our development effort will be focused on continuously enriching Suunto app with new functionalities and features. Suunto app will ultimately replace Suunto Movescount as our digital service for mobile –connected Suunto devices. Learn more about Suunto app.

Parallel use of Suunto app and Movescount

If you want to join the all-new Suunto app, it is time to say goodbye to Suunto Movescount app on your phone. To continue with Movescount in parallel to Suunto app, we recommend

  1. to use only Suunto app on your phone and
  2. to continue using Movescount, use the web. To transfer your Moves to movescount.com, connect your watch to your PC und use SuuntoLink, Moveslink2 or DM5 to sync your workouts.

We cannot recommend having both Suunto app and Movescount app installed on the same phone as it will cause problems with your watch (your watch may crash when both apps try to connect), and app connectivity (both apps may have problems pairing and syncing with your watch).

To un-install Movescount from your phone, please follow the instructions below:

iOS

Suunto 9, Suunto Spartan watches:

  1. Please un-install Movescount App from your mobile device.

Ambit3, Traverse and Traverse Alpha watches and EON Steel and Core dive computers:
