Supply Chain Program Manager

We are looking for a Supply Chain Program Manager to join Suunto Supply Chain Capability Creation team in Vantaa, Finland.

You are part of our Supply Chain Capability Creation team, which creates new capabilities (= IT & Data, Processes and People) for each area of Supply Chain Management (SCM), to support our strategic and performance improvement objectives.

In this role, you will translate the voice of customer into SCM capability requirements and lead the following:

  • Suunto Supply Chain capability development- and project portfolio
  • Development of Suunto Supply Chain process capabilities and operating model
  • Supply Chain IT capability development, -road mapping and -architecture in collaboration with Amer Sports IT

To be successful, you will need to seamlessly collaborate with internal stakeholders, such as sourcing & procurement-, manufacturing & engineering-, product creation-, sales & marketing- and IT teams, as well as external stakeholders like Suunto customers and suppliers. As a person you are systematic and persistent team player, who is not afraid of challenges in a changing business environment.


Responsibility areas:

  • Creation of the Supply Chain process- and IT capability roadmaps and plans
  • Maintenance of Supply Chain process- and IT capability roadmap
  • Creation and maintenance of Supply Chain process framework
  • Managing Supply Chain process- and IT capability development program together with the team members and project managers
  • Monthly reviews for Suunto Supply Chain process- and IT capability development program
  • Development of Suunto project management methodology


We expect the suitable candidate to have the following qualifications and skills:

  • Master’s or Bachelor’s level education in the field of IT, engineering, or manufacturing
  • Great program- and project portfolio management experience skills and competencies
  • Proven track record on managing a process- and IT capability development programs and projects
  • Proven experience in IT-road mapping and -architecture, especially in the field of Supply Chain Management
  • Experience on IT system projects and implementation
  • In-depth practical experience in using SAP
  • Process development experience
  • Lean Six Sigma competence and mindset
  • Excellent leadership, management and interpersonal skills
  • Results- and business-oriented attitude
  • A good command of written and spoken English
