Learn step-by-step how to setup your new watch and how to get started with your Suunto experience.
Wake up your watch by connecting it to a computer with the USB cable you will find in the box. The connector pins of the cable shall be attached to the receptors on the back of the watch.
Once your watch is awake disconnect the cable and press the middle button to get started with the setup wizard.
Follow the setup wizard to personalize your watch.
Based on your profile, Suunto 5 will calculate your heart rate zones and prepare your 7-day training plan. Your watch will be ready to exercise right from the start.
Let your watch know how you will wear it. This will help your Suunto 5 keep better track of your daily steps and activity.
Suunto app is the mobile companion for Suunto 5 and an essential part of your new watch.
Download Suunto app on your phone. Once you have it installed, open the app and pair your watch with the app. The app will guide you through the pairing process and help you get started.

Your Suunto 5 will continue to grow with new features, functionalities and performance improvements. If a new update is available, we will inform you through Suunto app.
To install the updates on your watch you will need SuuntoLink - a software for your PC or Mac. Suunto app does not update your watch, but it will notify you once a new update is available.
To update, simply install SuuntoLink on your computer, connect your watch to your computer with the USB cable and SuuntoLink will prompt for an update – if one is available.
