In our laboratories our watches are randomly dropped a hundred times on a steel plate, hit with a hammer, frozen to minus 30 degrees Celsius and heated to 60 – only to be frozen again. They are sunk to the depth of 100 meters and in artificial sweat. Outside the lab our field testers face the elements to see how our products meet our strict targets.
But testing is not what our products are made for.
Thursday is the official field test day at Suunto HQ in Vantaa, Finland, and people from all departments take part in the sessions. Watch now how it looked on our local GPS test loop on a snowy Thursday morning in January.
