Can I wear Suunto 7 when I shower or swim?

Suunto 7 is a great companion for both your swimming training and your day to day needs.

You can wear your watch in water without worrying and even press buttons – your watch is water-resistant for up to 50 m.

 

Swimming with Suunto 7

In order to avoid unwanted touch actions caused by wet conditions, the touch screen is disabled by default when using Suunto 7 swimming sport modes.

Note: for any other sport, to lock the screen during the recording you need to long-press the middle button. 

 

Daily life with Suunto 7

The touchscreen of your device may interpret water drops from the shower or heavy rain as touches on the screen.

A convenient way to stop this from happening is to turn on the Touch lock from under the watch's settings: Settings - Display - Touch lock. To turn the touchscreen back on, press the power button.
