Dear Suunto Community members,
Suunto DM5: As from January 2020 We will no longer continue to develop the Suunto DM5 dive software. There will not be any immediate changes and you can continue to use the DM5 software until the end of 2020.
The vision for our digital service transition is to deliver a more understandable and relevant service experience that meets the expectations of our entire dive community as we go forward.
You can already now join the Suunto app community and discover our new service (Suunto D5, Suunto EON Core, and Suunto EON Steel users).
The following key actions are planned for the digital transformation:
Suuntolink: Suuntolink will be the connection to Suunto app and access to software updates and new and incremental benefits from our partner ecosystem. We will keep everyone updated with more details to ensure moving to Suuntolink, and taking Suunto app into use, is as easy as possible.
Dive computers connecting to Movescount via DM5: Suunto dive computers including Suunto D4i, Suunto D4i Novo, Suunto D6i, Suunto D6i Novo, Suunto D9, Suunto D9tx, Suunto DX, Suunto Zoop, Suunto Zoop Novo, Suunto Vyper, Suunto Vyper Novo, Suunto Helo2, Suunto Vyper2 and Suunto Cobra2 that are connecting to Movescount via DM5 will not be compatible with Suunto app due to no mobile connectivity (Bluetooth). Suunto DM5 can still be used but with caution as the software might not support certain operating systems.
We will work towards connecting these to the Suunto App in the near future.
