In the Diver Magazine Awards 2012, Suunto was named Product of the Year for the Vyper Air and was the runner-up Brand of the Year. The annual awards, as voted by readers, have been running for 15 years and are British diving's highest accolade.
The Suunto Vyper Air is an advanced dive computer with optional wireless air integration with air, nitrox and gauge modes and gas-switching capability.
Suunto DX awarded most innovative product
In addition to the Diver Magazine Awards, Suunto also received the Most Innovative Product Award by Sport Diver. Every year, the UK scuba industry’s biggest magazine invites its readers to vote for their favorite products in a variety of categories covering all aspects of the sport.
The award for Most Innovative Product went to the Suunto DX, the world's first watch-sized rebreather-compatible dive computer. As the first of its kind to feature CCR compatibility and combining premium design with the new, advanced Suunto Fused™ RGBM algorithm, the Suunto DX is the ultimate tool for open circuit and rebreather divers.
