Suunto has teamed up with Swix Ski Classics, the long distance ski championships, to provide heart rate monitoring and GPS tracking of top athletes.
The new partnership will give amateur and professional cross-country skiers as well as fans a more informative experience when they watch the event live on TV.
Swix Ski Classics is very pleased to start this new cooperation with Suunto: “The new agreement will definitely be an exciting contribution to Swix Ski Classics. Swix Ski Classics consists of six of the most prestigious ski events in the world:
- Jizerská Padesátka in Czech Republic
- Marcialonga in Italy
- König Ludwig Lauf in Germany
- Vasaloppet in Sweden
- Birkebeinerrennet in Norway and
- Årefjällsloppet the Swix Ski Classics Final in Sweden.
All events are 50 km or more and open to professional as well as amateur skiers. The partnership started at Jizerská Padesatká in the beginning of January.
